Weezer

I am watching a Weezer concert on palladia (which is the HD music channel). They are putting on a rocking show for what appears to an arena full of 14 year old school girls. Maybe in some bizarre way, Weezer are the Japanese Jonas Brothers. Which should make Melt Banana the Weezer of America. Or not. I just got really confused trying to make a superficial analogy.

Weezer invited a young Japanese girl onstage to play acoustic guitar for the "Sweater Song." She is having a tough go at it, and Rivers is helping her/playing to the crowd by dropping some Japanese lingo. He speaks really well, and that probably shouldn't have surprised me as much as it did.

By the time the song hits the second chorus, she finds her way and actually plays quite well. If I was in a situation like that, I think my hands would turn into useless, sweaty meat hooks. Better suited for a drunken grope at an apartment party then a rock concert.

Additionally, I wore the same sweater/shirt combo to work today. If I ran into Rivers I would say something like "we're not so different, you and I."
